Summer (2022) at Split Second

Yes, we have a lot of programs going on this summer! While many clubs rely on seasonal staff who occasionally coach basketball on the side, we have a large dedicated crew of coaches whose primary focus is basketball and helping young athletes develop….all year round.

There’s a long list of benefits to having such a dedicated coaching team, including ones that go right to our CORE VALUES of:

Professionalism, Connection, Commitment

Another benefit is that, throughout July and August, we have fantastic and experienced team of coaches available to help your child develop. They have all been down this path themselves in the recent path, earned university degrees while playing varsity basketball…and want to share their experience with the next generation:

  • Hidde Vos- Netherlands—>Spain—>Cal Fullerton—>SFU

  • Jess Jones- McMath—>SFU

  • Luka Lizdek- Kitsilano—>University of Ottawa—>UBC

  • Tarik Scott- MacEwan—>Brandon

  • Jordan Muir Keung- Seattle—>SFU

  • Check our coaches page for bios

We’ve put lots of thought into what the best programming for young players will be, depending on their age, ability and experience.

We are happy to announce that our 2022 Summer Registration is now open. We have options for boys and girls in grades 2-12 in our Vancouver, Richmond, and Delta programs. Below are the program details:

All camp sessions will be 3 hours (either 9:00am-12:00pm or 12:30pm-3:30pm) each day. For boys and girls in grades 2+, there will be 10 weeks of camps to choose from. Our camps are the perfect balance of skill development, competitive drills, and scrimmages. With options in Vancouver and Delta, join us and get better this summer!

We will thoughtfully arrange players to form the best groups possible, taking into consideration age, gender and playing experience in forming the groups, meaning we can accommodate players of various abilities (Level 1-3).
